How many people can sleep in the house and how are the bedrooms set up?
Eight people can be accommodated in total. We have four king size bedrooms, but each of the beds can be split into two twins. Please just let us know before how you would like it set up. We also have a travel cot for babies if you need one.
When can I get access to the house?
Rentals start at 4pm on the day of arrival and then we ask you to leave by 10am so we can get the house ready for our next guests. If you would like to arrive or leave outwith these times we will try to be flexible if we can - just let us know what you are looking for and we will see what we can do.
How do I get access to the house?
Clare will normally meet you on your arrival at One Fairways to greet you and show you around, but if that’s not possible there will be clear instructions for how to get access to the property.
Is there off-road parking?
We have off-road parking for two cars in front of the house. If you have more vehicles there is plenty of on-street parking nearby. We can point you in the right direction when you arrive.
Can I charge my electric car?
There are chargers for electric vehicles very close by to the house. It is a 50kW charger and charged at 30p per kWh.
Is the house suitable for the very old and young?
One Fairways is a terraced house over three floors. The bedrooms are upstairs, on the first and second floors. Three of the bedrooms have en suite, walk-in showers and one bedroom has a deep bath. We have a stair gate if you are worried about wandering children as well as a high chair and a travel cot.
What’s the internet connection like?
The house has fast wifi (about 50 megabits per second download speed) which is available throughout the property.
What is available on the TVs?
We have 43” HD TVs in each bedroom and there are three further televisions downstairs - including a 65” TV in the lounge area. All are Samsung Smart TVs and can received UK free-to-air channels and you can sign in to your own Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon and Youtube accounts. Sky Sports is also available.
What golf facilities are available?
We know that a lot of our visitors will be here to play golf so we have tried to equip the house with everything you will need for a great golf trip. There are drying facilities for clothes and clubs, just in case it rains. We also have a golf library and a set of hickory clubs you are welcome to borrow if you would like to try something different!
Clare’s husband David is a very keen golfer and can give advice on where to play in the immediate area and beyond.

What is there to do for non-golfers?
East Lothian has so much to offer beyond golf. You can see some of our favourite activities here, and please don’t hesitate to ask if you would like any other recommendations.
Do you have recommendations for food and drink?
Absolutely! We have some great restaurants and pubs around us - with everything from fine dining to local pubs within walking distance. You can see some of our favourites here.
Where can I buy groceries?
There is a small Co-op grocery store just opposite us which is open from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. We will provide plenty of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and washing powder, as well as a pint of milk so you can enjoy a cup of tea on arrival!
What is the payment and cancellation policy?
We take 50% of the total payment at the time of booking and the balance 7 weeks before your visit.
If you need to cancel more than 3 months before your visit we will refund you 100% of your prepayment. If you cancel between 3 months and 7 weeks before arrival, we will refund 50% of your prepayment. We are unable to offer refunds if cancelled after this time.
Do you accept pets?
Unfortunately we do not accept pets at One Fairways.
Do you have a Short Term Let licence?
We have a Short Term Let licence from East Lothian Council, valid from 12th December 2023 - 11th December 2026.
The licence number is EL00209F.
